Your comment that it dies with the choke off is the clue here. It appears that your choke is compensating for the lean unmetered air getting in possibly at the black plastic manifold. Maybe the manifold is loose, warped or has a flat o-ring that leaks. Rick.Jetting is not your problem if the stock jets are installed. I think it needs to be cleaned again. Then adjust the fuel screw when hot. Your problem with the high idle is in the slow/pilot jet or the air bleed for the same circuit or the fuel screw is out of adjustment. You can look at the valve adjustment procedure in the Foreman section just to get an idea of what's all involved. Most Hondas are .006 +-.001 so I usually set them at .005 ON A COLD ENGINE. And also you must have the piston at the top dead center on the ignition stroke.Check and clean the filter and get some Seafoam into the tank. If that doesn't work, it's time to pull the carb and do a rebuild.
