As mentioned above, the anchor pin location is wrong for a Colt, the lack of the upper notch means it ain't Ruger, and the screw hole looks dead center when Rugers are a little off center probably because of the mainspring. Jringo is dead on about the maker, IMO.You should have a serial # on the frame in front of the trigger guard, on the front of the trigger guard, on the bottom of the back strap right by the strap screw and not under the grips on this era SAA. I have a Colt 1911 barrel I believe from the WWII era, but that's about all I know. There is no "P" proof mark on the left lug and nothing on the right lug.
